Time to get organized

Well it is that time of year again...time for the kids to get back into school and start their various activities.  If I am not on my game something will fall through.  There have been times in the past that I have simply missed a meeting or activity.  Then I feel that horrible.  I have found that keep a constant watch on my calendar that I seem to keep things on track.  I have scoured various types of daily calendars and cannot find one that fit all my basic needs.  I do not need all the fluff just a time breakdown, dinner and to do.  If this is something that you need help yourself to this hourly (for the week) template HERE.

Hourly Calendar 2

Hourly Calendar 2

Ok I am becoming a little obsessed in trying to get organized. I am determined to figure out exactly what is going to work for me. I created this calendar that will help me in my business. I needed something that I can write hourly clients and their services/costs, etc. Maybe one of your guys out there will find it useful as well. You print it and then fold the page in half longwise and it becomes a slender calendar front and back. On the last page is a shopping list. At the bottom is a to do and a dinner spot. Just click the linky! Enjoy...

FREE Weekly Calendar

I love the beginning of a new year. Time to feel like I can start over. New goals, new accomplishments and new chances to try things that I may have not done so well in the past. I am excited to get my life more organized. I am going to try again this year to stay on top of all of the things that a mom is suppose to do! To do this I need to have a constant companion. An organized calendar! I am going to be making a series of life organizing sheets to help me (and you). I hope that you all are as excited for the new year also and will join me on my journey! Click on the linky below to obtain weekly calendar. Personal use only!

Operation Organization

Now that the kids are back in school, now I can organize (really it should be re-organize) my house. First order of business, the kids rooms. Over the next few weeks I will be building and constructing several different storage systems. Here is my first: Door hanging Bookshelf!

Supplies Needed:
4 - 1x4x8
2 - 1x2x8
6 - 2 inch L brackets
screws
paint
nail gun
First measure the height of your door (you need to do the full height because that is where the full supports are for hollow doors). Subtract 4 inches. Cut 2 of the 1x4x8 down to that measurement. Next measure the width of the door from doorknob to edge (or whatever width you want it). Cut down the other 1x4x8's to this length. Cut down the 1x2x8 to this length also. Next attach a top and a bottom 1x4 to the height boards. Next determine where you would like your shelfs to be placed. Nail them. Place the 1x2 about an inch above the shelf. This will be your ledger so that the things will not fall out. Attach the 3 L brackets to the top and 3 L brackets to the bottom. Paint. Attach to door. Fill and enjoy!

Organizing Continues

Today--the kitchen cupboards and drawers. It is hard to believe that you can clean these places out and a couple of months later they look yucky again!

All of my cupboards look pretty much this bad. I have gone through them one by one. Now--beautiful! My diet is doing my good.

First Organization Project--Closet

Before

AFTER

When I opened my hall closet and had things falling out on me, I realized that it was time to organize it. There were many things in there that I did not need to hang onto. Why do we do this? Why can we not just get rid of things at the time we are putting them away. Instead we just stuff it somewhere and think, "Well I MIGHT use it!" A good quote to live by, "WHEN IN DOUBT THROW IT OUT!"
